Introduction
Adding emojis in online course communication can enhance engagement, improve accessibility, and support clearer expression of tone or intent. However, it is essential to use them thoughtfully and in a manner that aligns with the academic context and purpose of the course.
The following instructions shows how to add emojis in submission starting from Grades.
1. Click on Grades on the left side.
2. Click on the boxed arrow [1] found to the right of the student's grade.
4. Scroll down on the right side and click on the smile emoji [1] on the bottom right corner of the comment box.
5. Scroll down to browse through the variety of available emojis or hover over the icons at the top to display the top of emojis and select one or more of your choice.
Please note that selecting an emoji places it in your Frequently Used emoji list.
6. You can also access and add emojis in the comments section in Speedgrader in Canvas assignments.
