1. Click the "My Media" link from a course navigation
If you do not have access to a Canvas course or the My Media link is not activated in your course, My Media in Canvas can also be accessed by clicking the Account link in the Global Navigation and selecting the My Media link that is listed in the fly-out window. 4. To trim your video
To trim your video, drag the playhead on the video timeline to the point that you want to set as the new start point of the video. Click the Left Bracket icon [1] in the playhead box to set the new "Start" point. Drag the playhead on the video timeline to the point that you want to set as the new end point of the video and click the Right Bracket icon [2] to set the new "End" point.
5. To chop your video
To chop your video, drag the playhead on the video timeline to the beginning on the section you would like to remove and click the Scissors icon [1]. Drag the playhead on the video timeline to the end of the section you would like to remove and click the Scissors icon [1] once more and confirm that the middle section is highlighted. Click the Trashcan icon [2] to delete the highlighted section of the video. DO NOT bring together or "snap" the remaining sections together in the timeline, leave them as-is.
6. To add fades to your video
To add fades to your video, click the video timeline so that it is highlighted yellow. Click the Connected Dots icon [1] and enter the amount of seconds you would like the fade to last in the In field [2] and Out field [3].
