Kaltura REACH uses automated speech recognition (ASR) to create machine-based captions for your videos. Machine captions provided by Kaltura REACH are typically 75%-85% accurate and can be edited in the captions editor feature to improve accuracy. For more information about the captions editor, visit How do I edit caption in My Media in Canvas?

Machine-based captioning alone may not produce fully ADA-compliant content. Video owners should review their captioned content and edit where necessary to ensure accuracy. Students with a Center for Disability Access accommodation, should contact the Center for Disability Access to ensure full accessibility of content across their courses.
