Introduction
If you created an Adobe Portfolio using your University of Utah Adobe Creative Cloud account, you can keep your work after you graduate or leave the university. This article explains your options and what to expect when your account changes.
Before you get started
Your Adobe access through the University of Utah ends after graduation or when you are no longer affiliated with the university. To avoid losing access to your Portfolio and other Adobe files, you should take action before your University of Utah Adobe account expires.
For step-by-step instructions on moving your Adobe files, review How to Migrate Your Adobe Creative Cloud Account Before Leaving the University of Utah.
Option 1: Migrate your school account to a free personal Adobe account
Adobe allows you to convert your school Adobe Portfolio to a personal account at no cost.
What happens during migration:
- Your existing Adobe Portfolio projects transfer to a personal Adobe account.
- There is no cost to migrate.
- Content transfers even if your Portfolio is larger than 2 GB.
Important storage limit after migration:
- Personal Adobe Portfolio accounts include 2 GB of storage.
- If your Portfolio exceeds 2 GB, your existing projects remain available.
- To add new projects later, you'll need to delete older content until you are under the 2 GB limit.
Option 2: Continue with a paid Adobe plan after graduation
If you want more storage and ongoing access to creative tools, Adobe offers a discounted post-graduation option.
Whats included:
- Approximately $10/month
- 25 GB of Portfolio storage
- Access to Photoshop and Lightroom
This option is useful if you plan to actively maintain or expand a professional portfolio after leaving the university.
