Introduction

To add consistency to the A/V technology installations in the various learning spaces across the University campus, Digital Learning Technologies has compiled a set of standardized configurations depending on the type of presentation demands placed on a classroom, auditorium, seminar room, conference room, or lab. There are five standard foundation room types offered. In addition, a couple of specialty rooms have recently been developed to accommodate recent classroom technology trends.

Suggested Pricing: For each Foundation Level, general pricing is suggested. These dollar figures are ball-park estimates. After you consult with a Digital Learning Technologies engineer, a line-item quote will be supplied.

Foundation 1 (Standard Simple (RMC) Room)

The standard RMC based learning space is the University Campus classroom standard for most smaller learning spaces. It is designed for small meeting rooms, medium-sized conference rooms, or small learning spaces.

• 1 Wall-mounted flat panel monitor or ceiling mounted projector 
• Up to 2 input plate locations, 1 HDMI input and 1 USB input for soft codec; all supporting audio  
• Wall-mounted or ceiling mounted AV cabinet with Crestron RMC  
• System controlled by Crestron touch screen interface 
• Crestron AirMedia Wireless presentation
• Wall-mounted or ceiling mounted PTZ camera for use with soft codec
• Ceiling mounted microphone for use with soft codec
• Improved audio distributed through Front wall-mounted or recessed ceiling-mounted speakers 

Foundation 2 (Standard Core (DMPS) Room)

The DMPS standard learning space is the University Campus classroom standard for auditoriums and large learning spaces needing multiple display options and reinforced audio. It is designed for large learning spaces or auditoriums with advanced functionality.

• Up to 2 Wall-mounted flat panel monitors or ceiling mounted projectors
• Up to 2 remote HDMI input plate locations & 1 USB input plate location all supporting audio
• Wall-mounted AV cabinet with Crestron DMPS presentation system
• System controlled by Crestron touch screen interface
• Crestron AirMedia Wireless presentation
• System includes voice reinforcement with wireless microphones
• Wall-mounted or ceiling mounted PTZ camera for use with soft codec
• Ceiling mounted microphone for use with soft codec
• Improved audio distributed through front wall-mounted or recessed ceiling-mounted speakers

Foundation 3 (Standard Simple ZoomRooms)

The simple ZoomRoom based learning space is the University Campus classroom standard for most smaller learning spaces needing a dedicated ZoomRoom Appliance. It is designed for small meeting rooms, medium sized conference rooms, or small learning spaces.

• All-in-one ZoomRoom display
• Wall-mounted or mobile cart mounted
• Additional cameras and microphones can be added to estimate

Foundation 4 (Standard Flexible (NVX) Room)

For AV systems requiring more video inputs or outputs than available with the standard campus AV system. This allows for complex systems including ZoomRooms, divisible spaces, etc.

• Can accommodate various configurations of inputs and outputs
• Multiple wall-mounted flat panel monitor(s) or ceiling-mounted projector(s)
• Wall-mounted AV cabinet with digital presentation system
• System can include front and back cameras
• System can include rear flat panel monitor
• System controlled by touch screen interface
• Wireless presentation interface
• System includes voice reinforcement with wireless microphones
• Improved audio distributed through front-wall mounted or recessed ceiling-mounted speakers
• USB interface for software codec on installed computer or external laptop
• Zoom Room functionality can be added as an option
